Prestigious Haitian Music Awards – Judging Criteria

General Eligibility

Artist, song, album, or project must be released within the official eligibility period.
Nominees must have significant contribution to Haitian music and culture.
Music can include Compas, Rabòday, Rasin, Konpa, Gospel, Hip-Hop Kreyòl, Afro-Caribbean, Zouk, and other Haitian-inspired genres.
All submissions must be original work or officially authorized collaborations.

Arrangement and production quality
Creativity and originality

2. Cultural Impact – 20%

Evaluation of:

Promotion of Haitian culture and identity

Representation of Haitian values, language, and heritage
Global recognition of Haitian music

3. Popularity & Audience Engagement – 15%

Evaluation of:

Streaming numbers
Radio and television airplay
Social media engagement
Fan support and public reception
Concert attendance and live performance popularity

4. Professional Excellence – 15%

Evaluation of:

Professionalism in branding and presentation
Quality of music videos and visuals
Stage performance and entertainment value
Consistency throughout the year

5. Innovation & Creativity – 10%

Evaluation of:

Unique sound and style
Musical experimentation
Modern influence while respecting Haitian roots
Industry innovation

6. Industry Contribution – 10%

Evaluation of:

Contribution to the growth of Haitian music industry
Mentorship and collaboration
Community involvement
Support for upcoming artists

7. Public Voting – 5%

Evaluation of:

Official public voting results
Verified fan participation
Online engagement during voting period

Special Rules

Judges must remain neutral and avoid conflicts of interest.
Any fraudulent voting activity may result in disqualification.
The organization reserves the right to adjust categories or criteria when necessary.
Decisions by the judging panel and organizers are final.
