PRESTIGIOUS HAITIAN MUSIC AWARDS (PHMA)
2027 NOMINATION PROCESS
The Prestigious Haitian Music Awards (PHMA) nomination process is designed to recognize outstanding achievements in Haitian music, entertainment, media, sports, and culture while maintaining a fair, transparent, and professional standard.
1. SUBMISSION PERIOD
The nomination process begins with an official submission period announced by PHMA.
Artists, bands, industry professionals, media personalities, promoters, and authorized representatives may submit eligible candidates and projects for consideration.
All submissions must be received before the official deadline.
2. ELIGIBILITY REVIEW
After the submission period closes, PHMA will review all submissions to determine whether they meet the requirements of the selected category.
The review may include:
- Eligibility period verification
- Category requirements
- Release dates
- Music and video credits
- Performance history
- Event information
- Geographic requirements
- Supporting documentation
Incomplete or ineligible submissions may be excluded from consideration.
3. NOMINATION REVIEW
Eligible submissions will be reviewed by the appropriate PHMA nomination committee, judging panel, or designated industry representatives.
The review may consider:
- Artistic excellence
- Professional achievement
- Creativity and originality
- Quality of work
- Audience impact
- Industry impact
- Consistency
- Performance
- Cultural contribution

4. NOMINEE SELECTION
Following the review process, PHMA will select the official nominees in each category.
The number of nominees may vary by category and may be determined by PHMA based on the number and quality of eligible submissions.
Being submitted for consideration does not guarantee nomination.
5. VERIFICATION OF NOMINEES
Before nominees are officially announced, PHMA may verify the information provided by applicants.
Nominees may be asked to provide additional documentation or confirmation of:
- Release information
- Music credits
- Performance records
- Event attendance
- Professional achievements
- Geographic eligibility
- Other category-specific requirements
PHMA reserves the right to remove a candidate from consideration if eligibility cannot be verified.
6. OFFICIAL NOMINEE ANNOUNCEMENT
Official nominees will be announced through PHMA’s authorized communication channels.
These may include:
- PHMA official website
- Social media platforms
- Press releases
- Media partners
- Television and radio
- Digital media
- PHMA promotional campaigns
Only candidates officially announced by PHMA will be recognized as official nominees.
7. ACCEPTANCE OF NOMINATION
An artist, band, individual, or representative selected as a nominee may be required to confirm acceptance of the nomination and provide any additional information requested by PHMA.
Failure to provide required information within the specified timeframe may affect eligibility for participation in the official voting process.
8. PUBLIC VOTING
Where a category is designated for public voting, the official nominees will advance to the PHMA voting stage.
PHMA will announce:
- Voting start date
- Voting deadline
- Voting method
- Voting eligibility
- Vote limits
- Any applicable voting fees
- Official voting platform
Only votes submitted through the official PHMA voting system will be considered.
9. JUDGED CATEGORIES
Certain categories may be determined partially or entirely by a PHMA judging panel or designated voting body.
Judged categories may include specialized awards where professional expertise or category-specific evaluation is particularly important.
PHMA will identify the applicable voting or judging method for each category.
10. VOTING INTEGRITY
PHMA is committed to protecting the integrity of the nomination and voting process.
PHMA may investigate suspicious activity, including:
- Automated votes
- Bots
- Duplicate or fraudulent accounts
- Manipulated voting
- Unauthorized voting methods
- Fraudulent transactions
- Attempts to interfere with the voting system
Votes determined to violate PHMA rules may be removed or invalidated.
11. CATEGORY CHANGES
PHMA reserves the right to place a submission in a more appropriate category when the submitted work does not meet the requirements of the category originally selected but qualifies for another category.
PHMA may contact the submitter when clarification is required.
12. WITHDRAWAL OR DISQUALIFICATION
PHMA may withdraw or disqualify a nominee if:
- The nominee is determined to be ineligible
- Submitted information is false or misleading
- Required documentation cannot be verified
- Voting rules are violated
- Fraud or manipulation is identified
- The nominee violates official PHMA rules
A nominee may also voluntarily withdraw from consideration by notifying PHMA in accordance with the applicable procedures.
13. FINAL NOMINATION DECISION
PHMA reserves the right to make the final determination regarding eligibility and official nomination status.
Submission of an entry does not create a right to nomination.
PHMA’s nomination decisions are final, subject to any official appeals procedure established by PHMA.

Winners are announced and honored at the PHMA 2027 Awards Ceremony.
